I'm also extremely opinionated, and I won't keep those opinions to myself on my own blog. I'm pro-choice, I'll always vote democratic, Bobba Fett is over rated, I don't ship Barbara and Dick, and I will always ship Batman and Catwoman no matter what.

My Thoughts On The Dark Knight Rises

I really dislike the choice of Bane as the main villian. I’d rather another villian repeat (The Joker) than a crappy dumb brute like Bane. Maybe there will be surprises? I would have been pleased with a Riddler repeat. I also really dislike Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. I like that they brought the character back but did they close their eyes, spin around and choose her from a room of auditionees?

I’d love to be pleasantly surprised and love the new movie, but to me, it doesn’t look good.

Thoughts?

1.) Clearly you know NOTHING about the comic books? A crappy dumb brute like Bane? Wikipedia him for like five seconds. I can wait. If you don’t want to do that, Bane is smart scary smart. Smart enough to figure out who Batman is. Smart enough to plot his downfall. And strong enough to break him. A crappy dumb brute. Go read a comic book.

2.) Anne Hathaway screen tested with Christian Bale for the role, against several other actresses. Nolan’s casting has been SPOT ON for the past TWO MOVIES. She is an Oscar nominated, beautiful, hard working woman and clearly she will own the role.

There. Those are my thoughts. PS if you’re going to read a comic book, start with Knightfall, then maybe you can clear out the image in your head of that horrible Joel Schumacher version from Batman and Robin.
